Oxidized Bitumen 75/35


Oxidized Bitumen 75/35 (or Blown Bitumen 75/35) is in semi-solid grades of this category. PUB-LTD Oxidized Bitumen R75/35 achieved by Penetration Bitumen 60/70 aeration at high temperature, without catalyst. This procedure leads to a higher Penetration Index (PI). Also, its stability during heating is very good. Soft Bitumen aeration under controlled conditions and temperature gives rubberier properties to produced Bitumen, Oxidized Bitumen, rather than Penetration Bitumen.

Technical Properties:

Oxidized Bitumen R75/35 (or Blown Bitumen 75/35) has a Softening point of 70 to 80℃ and needle penetration in the range of 30 to 40 desi-millimeter. All tests are based on the ASTM method; for instance, penetration and softening point tests are done by ASTM D5 and ASTM D36, respectively. Oxidized Bitumen 90/10 (or Blown Bitumen 90/10 or R90/10) manufactured by PUB-LTD CO. is used in numerous industrial applications and operations. It has rubber property more than previous grades; because of its particular property in oxidization procedure. It is used in the production of especial paints, civil works, construction, road construction, roofing, facing, flooring, as anti-slip layer components, electrical operations, undercarriage sealant in the cars and automobile industry, in the pilling industry, cable coating, textile, oil and gas pipelines coating, crack sealing, road repair operations, pulp papers, bituminous products, joint filling compound, waterproofing, hydraulic applications, dust proofing, lacquers, varnishes, pavements, fuel combination, and paving.

Furthermore, it’s used as raw material for adhesive, insulation, isolation bitumen membrane sheet, chemical, especial bitumen-based paints and colors to protect metal structures from corrosion and operations, sound-reducing agent, Portland cement pavements, as a base for synthetic turf, producing rubber and plastic production.


In most final uses, Bitumen heating is a critical phase. Heat control is very important, and good heat controlling leads to making a high-quality product. Also, Oxidized Bitumen production needs a large surface that these large surfaces must be used to provide good heat transfer across pure bitumen and boiler. The maximum and safe heat level is 230℃.

Moreover, melted Bitumen should not be left in the boiler to cool and heat again because this matter leads to waste energy and production quality missing. Temperature control devices must be installed all the way to prevent such events from occurring.
